i've not much interest in opera.. but his performance is truly amazing! it bring tears to my eyes... it's TAT touching...
a humble mobile salesman with extraordinary talent... with no formal training, yet his voice is like of an angel... i love his performance!
he may not have the looks but definitely the voice... it's refreshing to see or rather hear him sing...

gluttony wkend...

26 sept 08, the beginning of F1 GP in sg... city hall area is crowded like siao, my plan to have sushi teh at raffles city is burst... went to central instead. wanted to eat at waruku but the queue was yup finally managed to transfer files from hp to pc...

the next day, we went to Muddy Murphy at noon... for AFL Final!!!! and the pub is CROWDED! must be the F1 crowd... tis yr the cats lost to the hawks... it was a good game with the score tied almost all the time till 3rd quarter...

for those who doesn't know abt aussie football, well.. google is your friend! hahahaa... it's 44 hunky, macho men in the field, punching the ball and bashing thru opponents... and the main attraction is that they wear tight fitting pants which shows off their perky butts! *drools* but somehow, this yr, their pants ain't as tight... *diappointed* whoever change the shorts, pls CHANGE IT BACK!!! -_-"

had irish breakfast which is made up of oily, high cholestrol bacon, toasts and sausages... YUMMY! also shared irish stew, lamb chops, sweet curry sauce (which tastes too much like mac curry sauce) with fries, cheesy mushrooms melba toasties, chunky chilli crab dip with wedges, and some fried tiny fishes and calamari...

and of cos, guinness!!! at 12noon?! WHY NOT? wahahahhaaa....

age is catching up... okie okie, it has caught up with me... hard to run away with my broke back, i mean broken back...

from "i wanna grow up QUICK!" to "i wish i'm still young"... age is a funny thing. when we are young, we wanna multiply it; when we are old, we wanna divide it...

of cos, ppl say age is only a number; youth is a state of the heart blah blah blah... and oh yah, the infamous term "age graciousfuly"... to me tat is dependent on my slimming fund, which sadly isn't much to-date. so, my pt is..... contributions are welcome!! *grin*

panda is my fav animal... my wardrobe is mainly black and (some white)... my previous room was white with some gray... the previous is entirely white...

things have changed... now i have a room with white, and LIME GREEN! surprising huh? for a black and white person... it's bright and cheery and let's hope it marks the start of a great new beginning *grin*

it's amazing how much one can accumulated just for a year... i'll throw away the tiny tv which is now sitting ard collecting dust... some clothes which i not wearing and cannot squeeze in anymore... okie maybe more than some... just keep a couple of 'skinny clothes' in hope tat i'll be able to squeeze in again, one day... dun luff, i believe all gals have skinny clothes tat they hope and wish they can wear again...

will be starting my 'slimming fund'... $10 a day. i saw an ad for 18 sessions of slimming for $300... and will be starting my walking routine... i am determined to be slim AGAIN! age is already catching up... alrite, i know i'm already old. but being old AND fat is way too depressing... life has other depressing stuffs to deal with... so

nah, i'm not tat 伟大。today one of the secretaries wear very nice, she said 穿美一点，对社会有贡献。。。美化市容。(wear prettier, contribute to society by beautifying the cityscape)

sad to say, i haven't contribute to society in this sense... been quite lazy, plus i'm feeling too fat to dress up. the slimming pills ain't working!!!! aaarrrgghhh.... anyone got any good recommendation? *sob sob* i'm look and feel like a barrel of lard... >.<

A nite in geylang....

last fri, the group of us (aka gluttons) ventured thru geylang... yes, through....

1st we started at 126 (dim sum) at 7pm... i think we ordered half the menu... total damage $255 for 16 pax... we split the bill evenly, unfortunately for the one who had 2 barley drink and 1 char siew pau! hahahaha...

too bz eating, no one took much pic... except for this...

next we proceed to have tau huay and mee suay at the famous tau huay place... standard drop tho... sad... but the "egg looser than meat" 蛋饼肉松 is nice!

then we went on to have fruits... DURIAN!!!! only 3 of us eat tho... another 3 had watermelon and another 2 just look on...

food overall is so-so, but the company is great... it's been a while since i last went to geylang... i can only say, things seem to be getting worse... >.<

Sun and Moon

after shopping with meow [of coz it's she shop lah!], we went to the sun and moon jap restaurant at wheellock... nice place, nice food and of cos nice price! hahaha...

1st: deep fried soft-shell crabs

Followed by: Spring Onion wrapped with Salmon Belly

Main course: Hotpot rice with Eel and Clams

Dessert: Meow had Sweet Potato Tart with Chestnut [Top] while i had the black sesame pudding

yah the lump of stuff is my dessert.... and it wobbles! hahahaa... but taste quite nice lah...

yes i know it's not my normal "gluttony standard"... but hey i'm with a gal tat wear XS >.<>

eventful weekend..

last sat, we had our co. trip to an organic veggies farm... interesting but tiring no less. the weather is SOOOO hot.... >.<>

nvr thot there are so many varieties of bananas... esp those tat are of ornamental values only. had really pretty flowers, but tiny fruit [read: pretty to look at, useless to consume]... and of the 1st time i see a RED lady's finger... look like an oversized chilli... hehee... sorry, too lazy to upload the pics...

sun was THE day tat kittyn got married... the whole day was bustling with events; smoke breaks [some sneaky ones] and lotsa walking... the dinner was good; the food tat is! hahahaa... and yes, i wore a RED dress for the nite... i look like a suckling pig -_-"

the event was covered by the media; it was afterall a new wedding dinner concept... i must say it was a great idea: having long tables where the couple periodically switch tables to mingle with the guests...

the gals were "ordered" to stand to catch the bouquet by the bride [who else can make us do such a silly thing?] i was telling the gals it would be a joke if i catch it... and indeed it was! 1st try the bouquet landed too far infront of any of us... the 2nd time, it flew.... right into my arms >.<>

worse part? it was captured in video and posted on a local media website... and as requested here's the link... so go ahead, click and laugh at my expenses... and tell me if i look fat wahahahahaa....

making things worse, my aunty must come visit me at tis time!!! no wonder i was all giddy and feverish... and my poor back... OUCH!

it's all along sensitive, seems to have slight [this is an understatement] allergy to oil and chilli... but recently it just "upgraded"... being ISO is not joke...

since sat had lunch with wil, hainanese chicken rice... didn't eat till sun noon cos stomach going thru severe ISO testing 0.O sun had vegetarian bee hoon, testing cont'd... yest had noodle soup [lunch] and porridge [dinner]... still testing...

basically, regardless of watever i eat, it just come out... yes i know it's gross... my apologies if u just eaten, going to eat or eating now... excuse me now, my stomach still cont'd the ISO processes.... -_-"

i have concluded, a computer is indeed female... it has NO logic watsoever. in fact, it's worse than a woman having pms or menopause... >.<

was on msn and SUDDENLY, my keyboard not working!!!

did the default thing --- restart comp. didn't work...
check control panel/keyboard... no hardware found...
shut down > unplug keyboard > plug in keyboard > restart.. didn't work...
shut down > swop with another usb slot [which turns out to be my wireless modem] > restart... keyboard working! but can't connect to internet -_-"

since all 4 slots are used up, i took one out and plug into the front usb slot.. no idea what was it but it has the longest wire...

still can't connect to internet...

i did the silliest thing.... swop the modem and keyboard [i.e. modem back to its original slot]

and everything works!!! wtf??!!!

seriously, not even the most brilliant IT helpdesk would suggest TAT kinda "solution"... all i can say is i'm just glad i can use my keyboard AND connect to the virtual world now... -_-"

well at least tat's wat i look like in domo.. heheee...

wanted to get a female costume in game, either a schoolgal, maid or traditional dress [qi pao]... but the new restriction of perm costumes non-tradeable, i can't get any in game! *sob* yes i'm not abt to spend REAL money on it... plus i can't even access the damn cash shop...

been looking and whining abt it... and one of my guildie gave me one!!! well, not perm but still it's 90days! *grin*

went for my orthopaedic appt today... good new: i don't have to go back anymore! doc said my back looks like it's recovering BUT as with all back problems, there will be chances tat it will reoccur... now i have an open appt for a year. in case i fall down or back acts up again... CHOY!

so now is just to exercise [intensity to increase SLOWLY]... and not to strain my back... i just did yest by walking too fast and carrying too much files >.<>

v-day special...

yes today is v-day!

surprisingly, office is quiet... the only gal who got a bouquet is single :P

i had a very nice dinner.... with *drumroll* my family!!! we went to the temp market at outram mrt...

1 huge fatty fish head [steamed with bean paste]; the blue plate is yu sheng [raw fish salad]; next to it is stir-fried bittergourd with pork ribs; and the farthest is stir-fried duck feet!! it is REALLY nice... the fish head is *drool* fresh and fatty... yummy!! didn't seems to be enuff tho.. my elder bro ordered a plate of yam cake for us to try... it's soft and u can actually taste the yam! of cos i'm bias, i still think my granny's yam cake is the best :P and we had ordered a plate of veggie and spring onion deer meat... okay tat all TAT, we are full :P

okay i know it's not exactly a "standard" v-day dinner. but hey the food is good! and being able to spend time with my family makes me feel [read this] loved *blush* - a different type of family bonding love...

side note: we saw a couple while at the hawker. the gal was holding a BIG bouquet of roses... erm... if the guy is willing to spend like $100 on roses, why bring the gal to hawker??!! o.O my baby bro said, maybe cos he spent all the $$ on the flowers, no $$ for dinner *evil chuckles*

yes, chinese new year has come and gone... well at least the public holidays... this year is thus far the best [for many years].

1st i don't get aunties tat nag at me for babies or wat have you... no awkward qns asked ;) 2nd i don't have to give any ang baos... hahaha... 3rd we actually took some family photos...

back has been good and bad... not totally recovered but not as bad as it was. next orthopaedic appt on 19th feb, hopefully i'll have good news by then... else, it'll be the costly MRI i might have to do >.<

had my 1st ever allergy rash from FOOD!!! i suspect it was the smoked salmon sandwich i had. rashes and itchy on arms and legs. thank goodness it has cleared!!! and hopefully i've not develop an allergy to seafood. pls god! don't be so cruel, i'm already allergy to oil and chilli -_-"

see this is the reason i've not posted. cos there's mostly the not so happy news.... *sigh*

CNY is coming!!! yeah yeah!!! goodies to look forward to... yes i know i have to slim down... but it's CNY -_-" i want pineapple tarts!!! for the 1st time i don't drag the visitation... well the relatives i'll be seeing know about what happened... less questioning... i just hope they don't keep bugging me to move back or worse offer their places... my uncle already did... sorry, but i enjoy the freedom i'm having now :P
