literal translation of the chinese festive "dong zhi"... only cantonese celebrates it... and mind u, this day is of more importance than reunion dinner on eve of cny... so tonite die die also must go have dinner with parents... tat would mean tml i'll have to come back office to clear the mountain! and hopefully i dun have to come back again on sun... *cross fingers cross legs*

just now have a super heavy lunch with the chinese in my office... so sad, there's only 6 of us! but the dim sum buffet is really.... ... ... next time cannot let my "little boss" order sia! just cos the shrimp dumplings and siew mai is nice doesn't mean we can finish 4 orders of each in our 3rd round of orders!!! *faintz*

apparently there's 2 pangkor island.. one is very ex!!!! and nope we din go thr... co. not TAT rich u noe...

yest finally made use of my bday voucher [given by co.]... bought a foundation refill and a mascara frm estee lauder! am quite impressed by their service. i totally forgot the no. of my foundation.. [u mean there are ppl who actually can rem?!] and the gal went, "no worries just let me have ur ic# and i'll check it out for you." they actually keep a database of the products you have purchased. nice! :)

total cost $94, total cash spent $44.. hehehee.... and i'm trying to accumulate $300 in 3 mths to get their discount card wor! but only available at the estee counter of robinson at raffles city... so if any of u wanna get products from estee, go thr and buy using my ic# and help me k? next time can "share" the discount card mah! *cover mouth giggles*

next item to get is their night repair cream... tried their tester the last time round... really nice... heard their eye cream is fanatistic too... but not hardworking enuff to apply every nite... so my panda eyes ain't cos their product no good wor :P

went dinner with the executive from KL office last nite... supposedly to have dinner and drinks with him... somehow i "owe" him one... which i have no idea how tat started... anw, ended up my lady boss and her daughter went along too... good thing is dinner is FREE! but after dinner, followed by a indulgence session at the chocolate bar at esplanade... there goes our drinks :P

the chocolate bar at esplanade is NICE! i ordered a dark chocolate drink with orchid flower oil... tho i can't taste the orchid flower, ooh well who cares when the dark chocolate is nice! hehehee.... also shared a chocolate fondue! yummy!! comes with white, milk and dark chocolate and an assortment of fruits and bread... the other exec who went with us said dark chocolate is not heaty.... really?? *lub chin* anw today voice still abt the same so i guess not much difference... no voice and not much voice is no big difference rite? wahhahahahaaa......

last nite had MJ [aka mahjong] at my plc with the cat, the duck, the mutant ... and roast chicken. me and roast chicken shared... tho i was the "tea lady" for the 1st 1.5 wind... hope my service was good ya? *giggles*

and for the 1st time, i actually "tiao zheng" by winning 4-doubles, 3x! usually i only win 1- or 2- doubles leh... and the 4th time, i "ate" wrongly and end up cannot win... arrggghh...... *bang wall*

last sat i have my hair colored and highlight... at the comfort of my house! housemate got a gal coming over to do our hair.... total damaged S$60! :P she uses salon products and the results are nice! except cos my hair is too black and too long nvr color, so not as bright... but at least cover my white hair... wahahahaaa....

best of all?! i can walk ard, watch tv, eat, smoke! heheehe..... rather than sit at a salon for 4 hrs with nothing to do! *cover mouth giggles*

mon went to see doc for my gastric... yes it's back in its full glory again! -_-" waited too long, bored so weighed myself.....

the last time i did, i was 60.XX going to 61kg... and i STOPPED facing the painful truth.. tat was end last yr / beginning tis yr... and now i weight 54kg... gosh i lost at least 6kg! w/o exercise or dieting... impressive?! i dun think so... considering the fact how i lost weight... and tat i lost my boobs and butts!!! *whines*

today mc again.... gastric cramp like shit... can't even lay straight or stand up... lay on bed till almost 1pm then managed to go see doc. now on a stronger course of medication. and if it doesn't work, i'll have to go do a scope AGAIN!!! aaarrrgghhh..... god pls let tis medication work!!

beach resort getaway....

went on a short trip to a beach resort... IN SENTOSA! very short, sat check in, sun check out...

anw, it's the very new siloso beach resort [open in aug]... right at the beach! the building and concept of the resort is nice... they build "around" nature... they actually make holes in the 'tree houses' to accommodate the trees... interesting... heheee.... but it's not fully operational... the place is still "under construction"... and alot of details need to fine tune... their entrance at the beachfront is not "ready", we have to walk thru it, pass the workers... breakfast sucks, far too little variety... overall it's a nice basic resort. and everything is NEW! hehehee.... however, i prob won't wanna pay tat kinda price for it [if not for the promo]...

checked in at 3pm... the room is nice and comfy... toilet very clean! cos think no one use b4! hehee.... but thr's no sun and beach was crowded with ppl playing beach volleyball... so decided to go use the resort pool... quite nice heheee.... but there's a 色辈辈 [DOM] at the pool tat stared at the group of angmoh bikini chicks... and i mean STARE... -_-" i have to get my buddy to shield me from his sight when we leaving the pool...

after shower, went to have sakae sushi.... and it's the MOST empty conveyor sushi belt i've ever saw! it was 7pm and the place is packed. yet there's only 13 plates of sushi on the 20m belt.... yes we were so bored while waiting for our order to come tat we actually counted...

after dinner, we stroll to 7-11 and brought chips and drinks [yes yes alcholol] back to the resort... end up, he was watching soccer and i was doing leg raise! wahahaha....

remember the NEL was down, erm... last wk? or was it the wk before? anw.... i thot i won't be affected. I'm heading up not down to harborfront [which was down frm dhoby ghaut]. yet, the platform was CROWDED... and the train takes forever to arrive. the screen din show how many minutes cos it keep showing tat the NEL is down... duh!! as if the irritating every 2 mintues announcement is not enuff.

i understand on highway, if one direction is jammed cos of accident, the other direction will also be slow traffic... cos all the kpo drivers slow down to get "inspiration" for 4D. does this applies to mrt as well??!!

just curious... does every train has a 4-digit number too? hahahahaa...

someone called the pollee!!!

i was doing the laundry when thr's a knock on my door... it was my neighbour frm right under my unit. he claimed tat last nite he was waken up by a continuous tapping sound frm my room at 4+ in the morn! he was soooo disturbed tat he called the pollee and he even came up a few times to knock on my door. sorry i was SLEEPING! din hear... and apparently he "talked" to my neighbour abt it too...

he said i should be more considerate... *roll eyes* i told him i have no idea cos i was sleeping, no one is awake... he said he woke up with a headache cos he din get a good nite sleep and this has been happening for the past few days... given his looks and attitude, am i gonna do anything abt it? of cos not!! how could i when i dun even noe wat caused the "tapping"??!! and if u r TAT light a sleeper, sound proof ur damn room! u dun have to call the pollee for something like dat.... harlo??!!! it's not like i'm blasting my hi-fi or playing mahjong at 4am...

anw i highly suspect bubble... must be the new ball i bought for him went under my bed [yes i finally have a bed] and he tried to "scratch" it out and hit the floor with his paws. solution: take away his new toy!

it's peak hours, the train is packed. it's just amazing how ppl can be so "asleep" only w/in 3metres of someone more in need of a seat than u? i was standing beside this aunty in her late 30s, carrying a toddler. who in my opinion need NOT be carried. he is at least 4yrs old and still sucking a pacifier?? *roll eyes*

anw one of the uncle woke up and saw her.. immediately stood up and offered her his seat... yet the aunty din take it! her other elder son [prob 5 or 6] went to take the seat and she told him in hokkien, "don't seat lah! very hot one!!" how "polite"!! the uncle who gave up his seat for u is just standing NEXT to you! and even me with my hokkien limited i understood wat you said!!

which is worse? ppl who pretend to sleep instead of giving up their seats to those who needs it more? or those who ain't appreciative at all? *shake head*

i was transferring from NSL to NEL.... on one of the connecting escalator, i walked down briskly as usual. then i realised the gal on my left was walking just as fast... not wanting to be walking "parallel" and block the way for ppl behind, i walk abit faster... and she walked even faster! it almost seems like a race.... ridiculous! but once off the escalator, i walked off leaving her behind me... nope i din run.... i just happened to have longer legs than she! *evil chuckles*

Letter from HR....

on 1st June [aka yest] i was given a letter by my HR manager.... and i was CONFIRMED!!! heheee... probation is OVER!!! *dances ard*

i was kinda worried that my probation will be extended or worse, i'll be terminated cos i keep falling sick... and my butt AIN'T helping -_-"

so end tis mth i'll get my new pay and i can clear my last credit card bill... after tat i'll do plastic surgery liao! [cut up my card once and for all]....

yes you read the title correct.... tis actually happened to me! nope i din derived extreme joy from being cut on my butt, but something else did...

i was awakened frm the anesthesia or was it cos of the voice of the uncle next to me, i'm not too sure... we were being "rested" in a temp ward in the ops room. he actually pull out the strap to measure our blood pressure and the clip tat measure our heart beat cos it was too "tight"... he keep complaining and giving the nurses a tough time. the male nurse told him, he can't released him back to the ward if he doesn't co-operate....

"I dun care! i wanna go back NOW! i know how to go back..."
"give me back my hp!"
"your colleague took my hp and i want it back now!" [valuables are kept with the staff while we go for op]
"you all stole my hp, i wanna make a police report!"
"I wanna call the police and catch all of you!"

when one is sick, he either become very grouchy or in this case a big baby... it was getting hilarious....

nurse: "okie, let me take ur 'thumb print'. later the police will come and catch YOU..." [clip on his finger to check heart beat]

the coaxing was hilarious!!! too bad i was taken back to the ward b4 he was done.... yes my nurse said, i'm the 1st patient she see leaving the operation theatre laughing.... waahahhahaaaa.....

sidenote: i was given a jab of morphine cos of the pain... and my body reacted!!! itchy all over and some little rashes appear..... okie i can nvr be a drug addict :P

i can't believe it... i just got "discharged" officially by SGH on 4th may... and now it recurred! stupid "pimple"!!! doc did said it may recurred but nvr have i thot it would be so soon.... tis time i getting admitted b4 it grew to 6x10"!! hopefully it will heal faster.... the bad part of it [beside the obvious] is tat i may lose my secretary job.... called back to talk to my big boss and she went, "it would be difficult".... damn!!!

Accident-prone weekend...

accident 01- friday nite
was at the pub... some customers were fooling around and knock over couple pitchers of mixer.... the floor was then mopped... but being on tile, the floor was still slippery and wet.... i walked pass it and *bang* i was on the floor! landed on my right knee and i couldn't get up... tat very instance, i can feel bruise gonna appear... and sure enuff, next morn i saw a HUGE red bruise [2x3 inches] on my knee... and tat is not including the two smaller ones next to it which i din rub on... cos it was oledi too painful... i rather take the pain by instalments.... -_-"

still at the same pub... i was clearing the ashtrays during closing... holding a stack of it, i turn ard and trip over the sofa stool.... *piang* and i broke half the stack!!! i got up and wanted to clear the mess when my colleagues and a customer stopped me... they said i'm bleeding! i look at my hands... shit,i am!!! 3 fingers got cut and i was forced to bury my hands in a bucket of ice... which make them all numb and the whole bucket red -_-" losing tat much of blood makes me giddy and faint.... shit!!!

after many years of being "fringe-less", i finally have one! hehehe.....

no choice lah.. my hair very stubborn... when i was schooling, my friend complain she must gel her fringe to make it stand... i told her, i have to gel it to make it come down! -_-"

with not-so-new technology [aka rebonding], i finally can have fringe... and of cos this is all thanks to govt for sponsoring me! hehehee.... now i'm officially broke!!

quite a good deal tho'... $207 for rebonding including free haircut and a treatment... i'm soooooo happy! *cover mouth giggles*

Bubble's New Look

today my friend sent him back... after a long "holiday" from me.... i was happy to see him. lively, bubbly as ever... he made mad dashes ard the house... but of cos he tired out in a while.... hehehee....

he's recovering from his mite and skin problem well... but still needed some special care like daily medication and twice weekly medical bath.

the thing is my friend won't be housing him till i get someone to adopt him. i have no idea how to take care of him alone. he'll be left alone by himself at least 12 hrs when i go work. ie if i rush home immediately after work! i was at a lost... yes i said "was"....

one of the kind soul i was yakking with is willing to adopt him. mms him his pic and he like him... who won't? he so cute hehee..... mon he'll be coming to take bubble away. and i won't be able to see him till bubble's adjusted to him as the new owner....

on 1 hand i'm glad he found a owner who will love him and knows how to take care of him well [this guy got lotsa experiences in owning dogS]... yet i will miss him... bubble, mummy so sorry i have to let u go... please live happily and healthy... i'll see you again soon *muack*

the train was rather empty... this young chap [not more than early 20s] came in and lean against the other door [aka not the one tat's opening]. as i was seated at the corner on the opposite row, i can't help but to notice his sloppiness. from standing to sitting, to almost lay full flat on the floor... his eyes were shut, earphones on, oblivious to the stares he's getting from the not-so-many commuters around.

approaching the terminal station, the announcement came that this train will no longer be in service and that all passengers are to alight from the train. he was still sleeping.... the train finally stopped and the doors opened. some quickly moved out, ignoring the still sleeping guy by the door.

i went over and tapped him on his shoulder.... no response. i took off his earphone and called him... no response. an uncle seeing this came over and shook his legs.... still no response. we have no choice by to leave cos none of us wanna a ride to the train depot. the door closed...

unable to see any station staff on the platform, i went up to the station control to inform the staff. a lady was ahead of me in this. after given the assurance that they have a staff down at the platform now to check it out, the mini audience left... an old aunty commented, he must have taken some "drug"... be it she meant pharmaceutical or otherwise, i have no idea....

seriously, can sleep until like this??!!

1st Day of My New Job!

Never had an admin job before... i must say it's really different from wat i was used to. and being a secretary in a law firm?! [yes i can hear ppl luff until drop off chair]... being in the creative industry all along, it was casual and relaxing [working environment]... is all offices so quiet and conservative? :P

but so far so good... 1st day as usual nothing much to do... shouldn't be a problem coping with the work... only possible problem is that i might fall asleep at my desk, esp after lunch... hehehee... colleagues seems okie... of cos it helps that wendy is around :D paiseh today i lightbulb ur lunch date with ur darling heehee.....

ps: i was told the only other smoker in the office is my direct boss... gosh!!! -_-"

pps: i just found out i can't fit into my office pants!!!! shit!!!! i thot i put on weight, but the pants is now too loose.... i was TAT fat??!!! anw, the problem now lays with i have only one skirt to wear to work!!! aarrrgghhh..... hopefully my other skirt top with shawl can't tell it's too casual.... *pray hard hard*

Pain in the ASS... ... literally!

i was in hospital for a week cos of a pimple went REALLY bad... ... ... on my butt -_-" it grew to a lump of 10x6cm in less than 3 days and caused me much pain... ended up in hospital to do a minor surgery... i have never let my butt been seen by so many people in just a week.... gosh.... kinda like my butt was on exhibition...

everyday i have to survive thru flushing [they put a tube into my OPEN wound] by very very very rough china nurses... and once a student nurse who was observing [see i told u my butt was on exhibition], ask the nurse if she can try... i told the nurse i dun want any student to TOUCH me! harlo???!! it's MY butt okie!

anw, now that i'm discharged, i still have to go to the clinic to do my dressing everyday for about ONE month! thank goodness polyclinic only charges $4 per dressing... i went to a private clinic on sun and it cost me $21!!!! *faints* not as if it's TAT difficult or i need any medication or special cream from them [i brought along my own cream prescribed by the polyclinic]... kill people put fire sia!!!

An Eventful Day ...

I'm So Proud of Myself
those who know me well, knows that i can only do tis amt of housework before i start wheezing and looking like i'm gonna pass out. Yest i actually washed & mopped the master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living & dinning hall, study area.... 2x with cleaning agent, once with water... ALL BY MYSELF!!! such pride comes with a huge price tho... my hands are peeling, my arm is aching, my back feels like it gonna break soon.... *stretch* OUCH!!!

First Night
Yest was the 1st night i spend at the new place. as i foresee, i was dead tired after the cleaning, plus i got mattress to sleep on. however, i was so bored [w/o tv or comp] tat i actually was tempted to mop flr AGAIN! maybe the house is too empty. noises [door opening and closing, toilet flushes] from other units seem to keep echoing in my unit! i have to get up a couple of times to check -_-" and yes, early morn i know i NEED curtains... the morn noise of the estate [tho not fully occupied] and sun is enuff to wake me up at 7+! can't imagine wat happened when i move in and work nite...

p.s. my neighbour has 2 children... and gosh! they are NOISY! esp. when they return from school in the afternoon... -_-"

For the 2nd time, i've been issued a warning to send my dog away or he'll be send to SPCA. well this is just a prelude to sending ME away i guess. so i've decided to move out before people chase me out... yes i know my flat is vacant and unrenovated, but what the heck? now all i need is...

1. Lights for kitchen, bathroom and 1 master bedroom... the rest can ignore rite?
2. Heater? i wonder if i can just install those electric ones, cheaper mah.... if not i'll just bath cold water lah...

4. Chest of drawers to keep my clothes... can't afford a wardrobe at the moment...

good thing is one of my gfs can lend me her fridge and washing machine till she buy her own flat... and if possible, may move in with me too. only concern was her bf is a malay and i have a dog at home. bad thing? well i have no $$ to get anything! damn!!

yes i'm moving on, with or without him... i can't wait around forever for someone who won't do anything or bother to... this part time job will pay me much but it's better than nothing, and most importantly i dun have to beg. if i can't get a proper job, i might just cont'd on with this. what other job would allow me to sleep till noon, drink & smoke when working? i know it's not a good permanent solution... but there's only so much i can handle at a time... despite drinking almost every nite, i'm having my insomnia again....

Either the gal went to the wrong toilet, or she was urgent and the ladies was occupied, she ended up in the cubicle inside the gents. one of the customers [guy] went in to use the urinal. and apparently he got "seen" when the gal came out and walked pass him.

normally, there's nothing to blog abt. except this guy got so upset that he was "seen", a fight almost broke out!

amazing... i wonder, is it really tat a big deal? i've seen guys in the ladies at pubs [i was inside], and none of the gals kicked a fuss or even get the bouncer to throw him out or anything... guys, tell me issit such a big issue?? [pun NOT intended]

A day where women get all excited and men get all stressed out; where lovers celebrate with love & kisses and singles threaten to murder cupid. Yes it's Valentine's Day... again!

Altho' i have not celebrated this day for years [this is what happened when you get married], this day still bring a tingle of sadness. No flowers, no candlelight dinner... in fact, my SO is not around. Thank God for singles friend!!! Oops, of cos i wish he'll get a proper valentine date rather than hang out with a fat, old aunty.... but thanks to him, i didn't have to celebrate it with bubble.....

compared to my usual boring days stuck at home, today is quite eventful... i even got a valentine present!!! but u'll never guess wat it is ---- a skipping rope!!! yes this fat panda needs some exercise... it used to be so easy to skip, but just now i tried 30 skips and i'm perspiring!! panda is more suited for rolling than jumping afterall... sigh....

2005 is over....

HAPPY 2006! this is a belated entry of my blog.... 2005 is finally over, and i ended it with a bang [literally]...

on a fateful day [21st dec 2005], i had a fall.... yes this fat old clumsy aunty fall down! i just got out of the lift and i slip and fell. my right shin went against the edge of the cement pavement! it was so damn painful tat i squatted thr for few minutes.... there was a guy right behind me... and seeing i fell down, he made a detour and walk off!!! wat is this mah??!! whr's compassion? whr's 风度? i had to wait till i can bear the pain to move b4 i staggered back home.... sign....
